On last Saturday I went to watch the movie entitled 超时空同居, meaning “living together beyond time and space” in English. It’s a Chinese comedy movie based on the love story of man and woman who are living in different times. Xiaojiao, the main character, is a lady looking for a marriage partner who can save her from the life of poverty. One day in the morning when she woke up, she realized that her poor house magically had became a time shuttle where she can travel to 1999 which is 19 years ago from the present. And she met Luming, the poor guy who had been living her current house in 1999, and they started to live together beyond the time gap between 1999 and 2018. Despite the unrealistic situation which happened to them, they got to like each other. But one day Xiaojiao met real Luming who became a cold-hearted CEO of an investment firm in 2018. And he asked her to leave past Luming for his future which is the present of real Luming. The rest of the story is about Xiaojiao’s inner conflicts if she would leave past Luming. It’s neither very romantic or touching, but still okay to watch to get relaxed on weekends without any thinks.
