I took one day to summarize the clipping report which was the data from magazines, websites, etc. the hardest part is the analysis which has taken me half of months to think. The clipping vlaue decreased by month because the print industry falls.
Before doing the report, I asked some questions to myself “where should I started ?””what’s the insight should be?”” What can you find in my report”, after considering all questions, I started my work. I made a summary of media performance by months which you could see the clipping quantity and the percentage of total in it. As all PR departments, we also have our core medias, but there was nobody would like to check their performance and contribution on time, then I thought I can do it because it was a good opportunity for learning if I was a new PR staff. After summarizing all datas, I found the higher performance was on digital platforms which were Sohu and Sina, and I checked all topics on them, which made me find a lot of negative news that should be deleted already. On Sohu websites, there were half of topics talking about our brand’s ambassador which contributed huge media value, and the another part was talking about our spirits of the equestrian. I found a lot of medias which were not our core but contributed great value for us, I suggested to invite them attend our brand events for keeping connection.

Today I wrote an email for asking help from our head quarters ’s colleagues. Our brand manager need the PDF file of two product pages on the General Catalogue which will be presented in our sales meeting twenty days later. And I was responsible for checking the general catalogue with HQ’s colleagues last year, but I just saved the lower precision version of it which could not be displayed on high precision screen. I got the reply that it was hard for me to get it in time but he would find others solution for me.
