It seems that the temperature of SH in winter is not very low. The temperature in winter in many places of north China is below zero，or even always lower than minus 10 degree. But most of north people feel the winter of SH is much colder than their hometown. There is a very funny claim that the winter in north is a physical attack and it is a chemical attack in SH. Physical attack is what you can defense it with more warm clothes，but chemical attack is what you cannot find a way to defense it easily. I have been to BJ several times in winter，the climate of there is very dry. I think that is the reason why winter in SH is hard to deal with for north people. When the climate is cold and wet, it makes people feel more uncomfortable.

Physical attack is what you can defend with more warm clothes，but there isn’t an easy way to defend from a chemical attack. I have been to BJ several times in the winter，the climate of there is very dry. I think that is the reason why / that it’s difficult for Northerners to deal with the winter in SH. When the climate is cold and wet, it makes people feel more uncomfortable.

wet= 湿的
ex: I didn’t bring an umbrella so I’m soaking wet.
