Finally, I am on the plane to HK. I almost took more than three months to collect all the signatures, chops, contracts, certificates, standard photos, etc. I arrived at SH airport with all the documents this morning. However, the airport staff told me that my PRC test was not the standard one that shall be issued by the hospital and recorded in the national government app. I did not feel shocked when I heard it as it was under my expectation. I had to do a test in the hospital again, and I am allowed to fly with an authentic PRC test, which is more official than the random one on the street. What a stupid era! As I have booked the hotel in HK and don’t want to waste it, I am determined to fly tonight. The airport staff was polite and patient today, and he gave me a certificate, with which I can refund my original ticket. I noticed another flight in the evening was still available, so I went to the counter at T2 airport to double-check with the airline staff in person. I tried to persuade them to let me fly with my stray PRC test, yet in vain. After plan A failed, I checked the nearest official PRC test hospital to see whether they could give me the test report within 3 to 4 hours thus I could catch up on the night flight. However, no one answered the phone, or the hospital wouldn’t promise the time. I called my doctor friend, and he mentioned that he could ask his colleague to speed up the report for me. Although his hospital is far from the PD airport, I decided to go without hesitation. After I did the test, my friend notified his colleague to instantly take out my test sample and send it to the reporting center. Later I went home and had a 2-hour snap. Now I am on the business class of the Cathy Pacific, flying with all the interesting documents…….
