This Friday I had planned to meet my friend to have dinner together. My friend is a middle-aged artist that has his own studio on Moganshan Road. On Friday morning my coworker also asked me if I was willing to go to the music bar at 8pm. She would bring her friend.
“Sure. May I would also bring my friend.” I responed.
“OK, see you in the bar.”
At 4:45pm I reached my friend’s spot. We had a short chat.
“My friend invited me to the bar. Are you interested?” I asked.
“OK, I will go with you.”
After dinner we arrived there earlier than them at 8pm. The thing was we had to wait for the table. There were so many people waiting for tables before us. we sat down not only waiting for table but my coworker and her friend. After 25 minutes, she arrived with her friend. I told her that we needed to wait for a long time. I also suggested going to another bar. They agreed with me, so we left and went to another bar. However, her friend suddenly said that she wanted to go home instead

However, her friend suddenly said that she wanted to go home instead of going to the bar. I was so shocked after she had said that. Her reason was pretty ridiculous and fake: she just wanted to go to the first bar. Actually I knew she didn’t want to go with my friend from her expression, also my coworker may showed the same expression/reaction, but not as strong as her. Finally we went home.
I was so sorry for my friend, for I brought him to there but in the end it had be in vain.
“Never mind/Think nothing of it. we can meet again later.” My friend said.
While I was on the subway my coworker sent messages saying she was sorry for that. Actually I didn’t want to reply to her.
In social life we should be polite and respectful to people. She invited me first. I also said I might brought my friend. I don’t know what her real reaction to my friend was. Her friend showed very rude politeness to my friend, even including me. You choosed that spot. We went there before and waited for 25 minutes, but you left at once, having a very lousy excuse. I was totally unacceptable.
Sometimes my coworker said that she wanted to hang out with me and my friends. I would like to invite her if I got a chance. However, after this thing happened, I don’t think I will invite her anymore until She knows how to be respectful to friends.
