A funny thing
Last Friday I had a night shift, which means I would sleep in the office. At 11pm I felt asleep setting the alarm clock to 6:20 and6:30am.
In the morning, the alarm clock set off. Looking outside, the day was very bright. However, It was difficult to get up immediately so I wanted to get up until the clock set off at6:30am. After 20 minutes, I woke up. it had been already 6:41am. I got up at once and started to work as quick as possible. Luckily I finished my job by 7am, the time my coworker took me over. I was waiting for my coworker to take me over, but I discovered it was just 5:59am. “I had set the clock one hour early, what a funny thing.” I said myself. later I slept again to 6:50am.

A funny thing
Last Friday I had a night shift, which means I would sleep in the office. At 11pm I fell asleep after setting the alarm clock to 6:20 and 6:30am. (no “after” = while !)
In the morning, the alarm clock went off. Looking outside, the day was very bright. However, it was difficult to get up immediately so I wanted to get up when the clock would go off next at 6:30am. After 20 minutes, I woke up. It was already 6:41am. I got up at once and started to work as quick as possible. Luckily I had finished my job by 7am, the time my coworker was supposed to take me over. I was waiting for my coworker to take me over, but I discovered it was just 5:59am. “I had set the clock one hour early, what a funny thing.” I said to myself. later I slept again until 6:50am.
