I think the most important function of education is to help you develop the thinking ability. Education can not only help you get more knowledge about certain subjects, but also help you realize that the world is bigger than you live. Then you can try to understand this world with the help of what you have learnt to build up your own evaluation criterion progressively.

In China, due to the imbalanced distribution of education resources and the economic gaps between different areas, there are still a lot of children could not get good or enough education. So they will easily think about this world or anything in a narrow view and will be easily affected by other people around them, who may have wrong ideas about certain things. In addition, in the countryside of China, a lot of parents still believe that it is useless to get good education, especially for girls. They prefer their children to study a few years then leave their hometown to the big city to find jobs and get married there.

The government should provide more support to the development of education, which can be beneficial both for the individual development and the country’s future.
