Watching TV shows has always been my hobby since high school. Some people might think watching too much TV would make your brain rotten. While for me it is a relaxing way to experience different kinds of lives considering that I am not an adventurous person. Although when I first started it, I watched superficial and meaningless shows like Gossip girl and The Vampire diaries, now I am more into those in depth ones which would make me chew over after watching them.

Recently, I have been watching a Japanese TV series called Jiminisugoi Kouetsu Girl Kouno Etsuko, and I was totally moved by this girl Etsuko because of her ambitious, frank and independent personality. Etsuko’s dream is to become a fashion editor in a publishing company that she desired to since sixteen. After seven years’ turning down, she finally gets into this company, but ironically not as a fashion editor but as a proof reader which is generally considered as the dullest and depressing job. 

Despite that she doesn’t give up. She accepts this job and works extra hard so as to be transferred to fashion department one day. However, she is quite different from her other colleague. She dresses her up like a fashion blogger everyday even in details to the accessories. She is so stick to the truth that she would go to those places mentioned in the books to check the logic and the authenticity. What makes her more unique is her courageous to point out the mistakes even in face of her boss and famous writers. Because of her frankness, some people like her and some people don’t.

This character inspires me a lot in the aspect of being honest to myself. Live every day the way as I like. Sometimes when we make a decision, we don’t need to consider too much for colleague, family or society, just follow your heart and make the right move.
