It’s midnight now, but I can’t sleep. Maybe because I woke up late this morning. I have been in Beijing for one week. So I do writing make sure I don’t forget anything. Today I typed a message to a friend. I want to know what does she busy with these days. But I’m not sure if this is native express. In China we often ask someone “你最近在忙什么？(ni zui jin zai mang shen mo) But I don’t know the native express. I just want to know what did she do these days, because we haven’t seen each other for a while.

I wanted to know what has she been doing lately / what has she been up to lately / how her life has been lately. But I’m not sure if this is a native expression. In China we often ask someone “你最近在忙什么？(ni zui jin zai mang shen mo) But I don’t know the native expression. I just want to know what has she done these past few days/lately, because we haven’t seen each other for a while.
