Vocabulary

Eddie/Ed  –  a short name for Edward

Tony – is a short name for Anthony

The First Automotive China (Don’t use THE for names)

eg: “I work for JCI, we work with first Automotive China.”

Scenic – a place with good scenery

eg: “We drove along the scenic Highway 1, from SF to LA.”

Tense – the form of the word, depending on when it happens.    Past tense, Present Tense, Future tense

eg: “Which tense should this be?”                             “Is that the right tense.”

Phrase – a few words often used together

eg: “Go to bed.”    “Look at that.”   “Write a report.”

Phrasal Verbs – usually two words used together, that have a new meaning

eg: “Phrasal verbs can be hard to understand for students.”

Idiom – cheng yu,  is a kind of phrase, that has a new meaning

“Don’t beat a dead horse.” (don’t overdo it)
