I currently work in H&M. I just transferred to SH.

I was in the store front in TW for 7y and I got an opportunity here in the office for the store expansion or renovation. I have to work with PM and store designers and managers…

It was a new role for me, it was my goal for many years and I just applied. I am responsible for the southern part of China including HK and TW.
The original plan is for the expansion but now it is more like renovation or if some stores need to be closed i have to be responsible for the transfer.

I got another internal opportunities in JP and it is the same / similar in visual functions but in different roles. More like strategies… ladies department in JP and KR.
You have to do strategy for every campaign, what we put in the store fronts …

When I got this job I didn’t need to have English interview. But this job someone from ..

I want to refresh my English.

I don’t know how to ask questions properly.
I know all the words, but it is hard for me to express myself immediately.

from my perspective, I am always in the China Japan.

In TW, we have international brands it is relatively stable.

More or less it is the same if the whole market is good we are all pretty well. -> brands follow the whole market trend / if the market is doing well, clothing brands are usually doing well. There is a strong correlation between how the market is doing and the sales of clothing brands

In mainland there are lots of options. Online and offline.
This is a big part of the opportunity, the shopping behaviors are changing and we need to focus on online channels and how to direct our customers offline to the online channel.

I am not sure in JP or KR what is the situation right now? -> I am not sure what the situation is in JP or KR.

but I believe due to Covid people are still changing their behaviors. They will compare through a screen / online with other competitors. From our research a lot can be learned. Uniqlo which is the biggest clothing brand in Japan they do / does a lot of websites and apps for their platforms.  / they use online platforms such as websites and apps a lot

We are launching a system called scan a go, it is a cash point without a human being there / it is a fully automated cash point / it is a cash point which does require human intervention 

it is being used in a lot of brand like Zara. They are used to that system as well. / they are familiar with that system.
Through scan and go we can add them as our members / they can get our membership and they can get … they use another wechat / another social media called line and we can add them as friends.

KR and China are quite similar

Chinese people are quite influenced by Korean trends because of the pop culture

We used to have a line called Asia specific which was designed following a more Korean style but it was cancelled/ it was phased out It really showed the influence from the Korean front. / Korean wave (cultural exportation movement)

From my Generation the JP culture is very popular. -> in my generation / among my generation

They have a specific style which is different from Europe and US. It is cute and sophisticated. it is simple but with a lot of cuteness and details. / it is cuter than in other countries without sacrificing details.

when I was young there was a neighbor who forgot to turn off the stove. they had to break the door but it was not a big deal.

When we do store designs we follow the company’s rules. We need to give the space for the walkway  / we need to ensure there is enough space for people to move around and sometimes the government needs to put stickers to indicate the direction to the fire exit .

We have to wait until the very end and then we pass it and if we didn’t pass it we have to do it all over again. -> we have to wait until the very end to have a fire inspection and if we do not pass the inspection we have to redesign the store from scratch. (general statement)

Whenever we want to do renovation we have to apply for fire regulation / we have to apply for a fire permit at least a year before. Once it is done we cannot change anything.
