She needs to improve her English to communicate better with foreign coworkers and improve her network.
Focus on improving vocabulary / smoothness,  clarity & logic
Do not focus too much on grammar unless it could create misunderstanding

• creative meetings about the storyboard / character descriptions (roleplay / describe characters in an existing movie / describe scene, atmosphere)
• explaining a character to an actor (roleplay)

I went to study in Scotland and NYC but my English is still Chinglish / is not very pure.

For the film industry there are specific people who are not Chinese and I work as an assistant director an I have to speak English. A lot of actors are not Chinese so I have to tell them the story but I feel my English is not good enough.
right now it is enough, they are going to slow their pace and have enough patience. But if I go to Hollywood I don’t think I can handle the pace.
I found out I cannot understand most of the words.
I think my vocabulary is quite limited / I use the same words to keep talking the same topic
There are a lot of parties and if we talk about politics or life related topics … I have to pretend I understand.

those kind of camera equipments are not designed in China so a lot of people are starting from there.
The other reason is they have a higher budget to attract those western people.
The market is too competitive so they come to China to get more payment -> to get paid higher  / to get paid more

they will reassemble the camera on a grip / the great operator can assemble a new camera on a drone to get a better image quality.
They can help the directors get the shot better / more easily

I think those are not originally created in China so the initial technical people are from western countries.
The film industry developed much earlier.
even for those who you get a good education / are well educated , they  are  still willing to work the base part  / basic jobs but in China those who work as a camera assistant are not educated at all.

Those who can afford film school will not go for the base jobs and those working for the base jobs only get the training of the film knowledge from the rental house. / do not receive proper training / are mostly trained on the job

I might disappear for one or two weeks. / I might be away for 2 weeks.
