– Joey is 11 years old. He attended a bilingual primary school and is going to a public Chinese middle school in Sept, 2022. His listening and accent are good, and has solid basic grammar, but his vocabulary is limited and can only produce short SVO sentences. Joey likes sports, especially basketball and ice hockey. Can be shy and reticent.
– Suggest storybooks and NBA news/topics to elicit his interest and build confidence. Focus on vocabulary building and teach him how to express one idea in different ways.
