– needs to prepare for IETLS, knows some vocabulary but can’t use them, writing may be the biggest problem, oral english needs to improve.
After our class I can see that grammar and sentences are the main issue with speaking, with some vocabulary needing some upgrading by learning synonyms and practicing using them. Is quite confident in casual speaking but may need more practice to get comfortable enough to be able to think of new words and sentence structures to use when speaking.
In class: short daily conversation practice to gain comfort, speaking exercise to find common errors, IELTS speaking practice focusing on fluency, long answers using conjunctions to add logic, and using synonyms for commonly used words. At home: IELTS writing, review class notes, do reading and listening practice for IELTS daily for 1-2 hours.

Speaking exercise
Last year I was in africa. I was there for being a volunteer to teach chinese. You know the confucious institute. I was a teaching in the CI. The landscape is gorgeous and amazing, I am impressive by the view of the country. The people they’re so nice. I love talking with them. I love have the communication with them. For me it’s totally different from my imagination about the african people. They do have their opinion of their life, it’s totally different from the chinese people. When I have a communication with them it’s so much more interesting than the communication with the chinese people. They do have their own opinions of their own life. The students they would tell that their parents told them to do that.. it’s not for themselves.
