Henry Xu
The student’s name is Henry Xu.
He has just finished the sixth grade.
He attends Shanghai No. 1 Middle School.
Henry is from Shanghai. He likes swimming, cycling, eating cake, and learning Python.
He likes to ask questions to learn. He likes Doraemon (cartoon.)
He enjoys play the Zelda games on his Nintendo Switch. He also mentioned that he likes drums, especially hand drums.
Henry seems very bright! I think he’s a very smart and talented. At first, it was a bit difficult to get him to speak up in English, but after some time his confidence grew and he opened up. He’s a friendly kid. It’s too soon to tell his major strengths and weaknesses in English, with the short sample but I’d say he has a strong and well balanced foundational basis for the language and needs much more practice. He could definitely benefit from more conversation to help him sound a bit more natural and his choice of words and tone of voice, but this is natural for young learners.
