Speaking exercise

I’m working in a French perfume company as a training manager.
I can speak French much more easily (than English) but for emails or PPT or reports I should use English / I am required to use English.

I can understand usually but when I write or speak / but when writing or speaking, it is sometimes difficult.

I can understand despite a few grammar issues

I have lived in Paris for 4 years and they can speak English but usually choose not to and it pushed me to study French and then I lost my English./ my English got worse.

There are advantages and disadvantages  / good and bad sides

I like the culture and the buildings / architecture but sometimes people are not very nice / people can be quite cold.

They don’t have kindness / They are not very kind. It is not like in Belgium, people are nice and when you go on the street they say hello with a nice smile.

My parents worked there so I was 17 and I needed to go with my parents so I had no expectation I just went to Paris and studied and I felt it was very different. / My parents moved there for work when I was 17 so they took me along.

Speaking and writing are harder.
I can understand 80-90%

I work with no English speaking people / I don’t usually work with native English speakers / I mostly work with non native speakers / people for whom English is a second language.

We do not have so many sales numbers, we just present a plan in 1-2 years or report about the previous year.
What I studied from this case can do well -> What I learned and how to improve thanks to that.

Sometimes we need to fight with oversea people because one decision they have and we have different ideas and we should persuade/convince them to change. -> Sometimes we have to argue with people in other countries and try to convince them to change their decision.

I think in a Chinese way, I have a feeling when I was in Paris I used French grammar to think about my sentences.

Writing exercise

Situation: The Macao team asked you to prepare a training for a store opening. Send an email to John Smith (coordinator) include a document with the training outline.

This is Fontaine from the Chin team I am a training manager who responsibility for trainings.
Please find attached as training plan for Macao new store opening.
-You can give this document for new staff, they should learn this by themselves before in class training
-In class training content including product knowledge, service and sales skills
-After in class training I need store managers to do a field coaching to follow up
