Dan
– Dan is the mother of a former SE student. Dan now lives in Ireland and is enrolled in Kaplin’s language program. She is pre-A1 level and struggles with basic pronunciation and sentence structure.
She needs help with understanding the words/articles/questions in her textbook as well as guide to basic grammar and conversation skills. Suggest using her textbook as the main material.
Work with her through the book and give a lot of examples whenever she has a grammar question. Try to avoid bringing abstract grammar terms (articles/advs/phrasal verbs/) into class. Ask simple questions to elicit answers from her.
