polite (adj): 1– showing good taste or training -REFINED. 2-showing consideration and courtesy. 3-有礼貌的.
E.g.: It was polite of him to hold the door for them.
politeness (n): 1-礼貌.
context (n): 1-the parts of something written or spoken that are near a certain word or group of words and that help to explain its meaning. 2-语境
E.g.: Without the context, I don’t know what he meant by the word “odd.”
plural (adj): 1– consisting of, containing, or pertaining to MORE THAN ONE. 2-复数的.
singular (adj): 1-of, relating to, or being a word form denoting ONE person, thing, or instance. 2-单数的.
