Last year I was travelling (tra ve ling) with my sister around the southeast of asia. Our first 4 months were amazing, Cambodia (cam boe di a), Laos, Vietnam (vee et nam)…but when we arrived in Philipines our budget (jet) had decreased a lot and we needed to look for a solution in order to follow our plans and do all we would like to do. We had heard about a website where people offer their homes to travelers so we started to look for people in Philippines, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore. At first we were worried because we didn’t know anything about these charitable people, but we wanted to dive everywhere, buy flight tickets and follow our plan/schedule as long as possible and this meant we needed to save some money.
We contacted a Spanish guy in Singapore who had been leaving there for a year. We spent two nights in his house and that’s where/when  I met my boyfriend, his roommate. After these two days I continued my journey to Indonesia but always chatted with him. One week after I left Singapore he asked me out on our  first date, in Bali. I was really nervous to spend 4 days with a guy that I only knew for 2 days.Â
Finally, the first date was amazing. Since then we met up  with each other once a month during  my trip. We went back to Spain together for Christmas and then we decided to start this new adventure in China.
