Speaking exercise

I share with Li yesterday.
My company has 1 VP left and because she focus on Japan and Korean business they didn’t find any candidate to take the role so they want me to take it 3 months until they can find a suitable candidate to take care of it. It is quite challenge because the people are all the Japanese and Korean.
I need to weekly public speaking in a small town hall and still have a one on one with team members.
I cant speak Korean and Japanese and I can only contact with them in English.
The VP will leave the end of the October so I will official take over first of November.
During the handover process next week I am planning to talk with them to understand the challenges and anything I can support.
It is a challenge because I cannot help them to contact on client side because they don’t speak English.
It is around 6m dollar in revenue. Their revenue is higher than China. Per product, Chinese product is 700 usd but for Korean Japan there is around 1,200.
But the thing is for the Japan region they rely on the VP.
She in China 7 years and she has MBA,

What a pity Paula because leader didn’t give you title but you need to take care of them but still I have the vertical. The VP has the same level as me so I am in charge of another vertical so to me it is too hard because I still need to take care with my clients.
IF she is left and I didn’t work well then it means maybe my boss comes to me. If you want me to help you need to give me an addition title.
And everyone knows the company is looking for another candidate.

If I already know someone is not my future leader I am not careful he or she opinion.

The other challenge is language now I need to catch up on performance review.

Operation excellence.
we have some manager performance tools : financial achievements / talent development (praising achievements)/ Operation excellent (how efficient to deliver the result because we need to cost control / how they follow the model / I need to see the result and create some sentences / Client satisfaction

Client side is easily for me because I am familiar and talent development and operation is a challenge.

I shared about this with Li yesterday.
My company has 1 VP left and because she focuses on Japan and Korean business they haven’t  found a suitable candidate yet to take over the role so they want me to take it for 3 months until they can find a suitable candidate to take care of it. It is quite a challenge/challenging because the people are all Japanese and Korean.
I need to weekly do some public speaking / I need to speak publicly every week in a small town hall and I also have one on one meetings with team members. / I also have one on one performance reviews with each team member.

She has been in China for 7 years and she has a MBA. / she is highly educated.

What a pity Paula because the leader didn’t give you a title / promotion but you need to take care of them / handle a whole team but still I have the vertical / my whole department The VP has the same level as me / we both have the same position so I am in charge of another vertical/department so to me it is very hard because I still need to take care of my clients.

If she leaves and I don’t work well then it means maybe my boss will come to me and tell me they wanted to give me the position but since I didn’t do well they have to find someone else.
I am under pressure because I want to show my boss I can do it and maybe get the position.

If you want me to help you you need to give me an additional title. / a promotion

I am worried because everyone knows the company is looking for another candidate. I wonder if they will listen to me or just try to work as little as possible

If I already know someone is not my future leader I will not consider / listen to his or her opinion.

The other challenge is the  language now I need to catch up on performance reviews.

we have some manager performance tools : financial achievements / Client satisfaction/ talent development (praising achievements)/ Operation excellence (how efficiently we deliver the result because we need to cost control / how well we follow the model / I need to assess/evaluate the result and talk about it
The client side is easy for me because I am familiar with it but/however talent development and operation is a challenge.
