Writing exercise
The winter is coming and I get a long holiday “Gap Year”,therefore I have a very long blank space at my disposal. And everybody asks me what’s your plan. I like to make plans but I hate to make plans for my life because often I make plans that I can’t do well, and all that seems perfect is that piece of “to do list”. So I’m just going to do what I can do quickly now. I’m waiting for a new mall to open near my house because I’ve become a Vans saler,I think it’s cool compared to the customer service my friend introduced. And I’m still considering whether to open a Fan Station for my new pick idol.
To be honest, I still haven’t accepted the New Year.
Edited:
Winter is coming and I get a long holiday – a/my “Gap Year”,so I have a very long idle time at my disposal/available at my disposal. Everybody asks me “what’s your plan”./Everyone asks me what my plan is./Everyone keeps asking me.. I like to make plans but I hate to make them for my life because often I don’t well at making plans/following my own plan. The only thing that looks perfect on paper is my “to-do-list”./ The “to-do list” looks perfect on paper, but I can’t seem to follow/use it/listen to myself.
So I’m just going to do what I can do right now/at this moment./So now, instead of a long, paper-perfect “to-do” list, I just have a “right-now” plan. I’m waiting for a new mall to open up near my house because I’ve become a Vans salesperson. I think this job/job position is cool compared to customer service position my friend recommended to me. And I’m still considering whether to create a Fan Station website for my new idol.
To be honest, I still haven’t accepted the coming of the New Year. So much to do, so little time.
In writing, three ways to change up any repetitions:
- Use synonyms (ie. My life is very boring nowadays. This empty feeling is eating me up alive.)
- Use pronouns (ie. it, them… I hate to make plans, because they …)
- Switch forms of the word (ie. I am trying to make friends with Krissa. This is a friendship that I will value forever.)
