Give a running account of your sleep marathon, and what you do in the inevitable waking hours.
Vocabulary
Stress – the longest, loudest, and highest part of a word, one syllable 重音
Turtle – an animal that contracts, or retreats into its shell when scared 乌龟
Contract – (when the stress is on the second part) to get smaller
e.g. After the blowfish is not in danger anymore, it contracts back to normal size.
e.g. This spring, economists expect the economy to contract because of the trade war.
Model – a different design of the same thing
e.g. There are different models of trains, some that have doors, and some that don’t.
Rack – a flat place, like a shelf, for putting luggage; a place for hanging clothes
e.g. Sunny doesn’t putting her luggage on any train racks, unless it’s on the other side where she can keep a close eye on it.
Manual, Automatic – three pedals or two
Stall – when a car is not getting enough gas and turns off automatically 熄火
Inevitable – something you can’t avoid
