Many countries have been developing their science industries and technologies since the 21st century. The average life expectancy for humans are benefited by these breakthroughs especially in medical science and technology. We have created medicines that have cured diseases which used to be incurable. Increasing types of medical facilities have been invited to acutely inspect and heal patients. It’s definitely great for people, but there are probably some problems need to concern. First, if we have a longer life but still retire at the same legal retirement age, it means we will have more time to consume and we had better deposited enough money. On the other hand, for the society the increasing number of old people would cause heavier burden on for the social security benefits that are paid out during retirement, it may lead to a higher tax for the people who are still working.

First of all, if humans could live longer, the population would increase exponetially. This could cause a dwindling of our necessary resources like food, fuel and water. In addition, the increasing number of our/the older generation would cause a heavy burden for the working generations contributing to the social security benefits for the retirees. This could greatly affect the individual if a higher tax is implemented.
