Vocabulary

Futuristic (adj): 1- having or involving very modern technology or design.
E.g.: This car has a very futuristic design.

Fauna (n): 1- all the animals that live wild in a particular area.
E.g.: 
While she was in Hawaii, she studied the local fauna closely.

Flora (n): 1- all the plants of a particular place or from a particular time in history.
E.g.: 
Home to the Pantanal wetlands, the Amazon rainforest and several other important habitats, Brazil has the world’s most diverse flora and fauna.

Marine (adj): 1- related to the sea or sea transport.
E.g.: 
They are trying to protect the marine life around the islands.

Territory (n): 1- an area that an animal or person tries to control or thinks belongs to them. 2- (an area of) land, or sometimes sea, that is considered as belonging to or connected with a particular country or person
E.g.: 
The robin keeps other birds off that part of the garden – that’s his territory.

Tide (n): 1- the rise and fall of the sea that happens twice every day.
E.g.: 
These animals only come out during the high tide.

Startle (v): 1- to cause to feel sudden shock or alarm.
E.g.: 
She was concentrating on her book and his voice startled her.

Carbohydrate (n): 1- 糖类

Dolphin (n): 1- 海豚
