PRESENT

PAST

I failed the test. I should have studied harder.

would / could / should + have = regrets

I shouldn’t have said that you didn’t look pretty in this dress. I could have said that you looked beautiful in it, but then I would have lied.

I’m sorry, I could have come here earlier.

Vocabulary

downside = bad side

This is the first one of my projects that is actually going to get realised.

pro bono = done for free

I am doing this project pro bono.

recommend = give a recommendation

She will recommend me to her acquaintances.
