Grammar

A sentence should have a subject and a verb

ex. He eats

but most sentences have a subject-verb-object  

ex. The dog likes meat.

adjectives describe nouns/you put adjectives before nouns

large dog

The angry, old man

adverbs are usually after verbs

He is a friendly person.

I sometimes go out with friends.

I go to school 5 days a week.

Tell you to identify a drum

Teaches you how to identify a drum/teaches you parts of the drum 

A basic kit

He is going to teach us basic drumming skills.

First you start with the hi-hat. Next you add the base drum. Then you add the snare drum.

He is telling us/teaching us some basic drum beats.

To practice hitting 8 beats on the hi-hat.

We are going to hit the snare drum on the count of 3 and 7.

They don’t teach you the basic skills. They teach you how to play.

I learnt some basic skills. Then I learnt how to play.
