VIP Class Notes (Hari) [S]

Homework

Do some writing and focus on the grammar you learned in class today.

write about your experience of learning to ride a bicycle. how was it? was it easy or hard? how long did it take you to learn? (focus on the past tense)

Find some vocabulary words to describe a business that you know.

Find adjectives to describe that company. for example – powerful. 5-10 words.

(we looked at students’ homework about past tense as she doesn’t use past tense a lot.)

Grammar

1.so I studied to ride bicycles.  –  we don’t normally say study for physical actions. (example- playing a sport).

correction – so I decided to learn how to ride a bicycle/ I started to learn how to ride a bicycle.

2.when we talk about ‘riding a bike’ we are talking about learning to ride any bike not a specific bike or many bikes.

3.haven’t used Mac.

correction– yes I do/ no I don’t have an apple.

4.I failed, the tricycles turned over.

correction– I felt riding the tricycle was very strange because riding a bicycle is natural. I didn’t ride a tricycle again. so I agree with that statement. if someone wants to ride both a bicycle and a tricycle, they must practice a lot.
