Chinese scientist violates (violated) the regulation to produce gene-edited babies.
Two years ago, a Chinese scientist who called  He JianKui started to carry out an illegal experiment of making gene-edited babies stealthily. During this period, he tried many ways to sidestep the government’s and society’s supervision. For example, he forged documents to recruit volunteers, substituted volunteers’ blood with other one other healthy blood to bypass the examination. and so on. On the Oct 10th 2018, Professor He issued controversial news to the public, which was that the world’s first gene-edited babies Lulu and nana wren were born in China. Numerous queries and condemnations followed, a special investigation group was established as soon as possible. After a long-time investigation, the group released the preliminary investigation results today. They claimed that He JianKui’s experiment violated China’s regulation, and all the people and organizations that were involved will be punished according to the laws.
