The most serious problem is we are a one-party system and the government is really controlling. There is no freedom of speech or freedom of economics in this country, everything is restricted by the government a certain degree. If you don’t have someone on the inside, it’s very difficult to get anything done efficiently. So society is still very corrupt and relying on payouts and bribes.

China is a bad place for building genuine relationships; business, friends or romantic etc. because everybody is forced to become defensive and protective.
