Topic: Personal DevelopmentÂ
How do you feel about where you are in life?
How is your life? – career, family, friends, personal achievements.
The level or the stage that you are in life – are you satisfied or unsatisfied with this?
I think I am doing a dream job that I had dreamed about from 10 years ago. I have many friends in Shanghai. I also enjoy many activities such as Werewolves of Miller’s Hollow (the board game), going to the theatre and going to the gym.
In college, I talked with friends about getting a job that is different and that every day is not the same. I’m a stock analyst now and I deal with a lot of changes on a daily basis.
I’ve tried many things in the past. I use to not be good at singing, but I’ve since started taking voice lessons. But to improve more, I hope to learn more about the principles of singing rather than just the results. I also like drawing and I think its too hard to draw for more than three hours. Every class is about 3 or 4 hours for 1 class and I need to do homework for 3 hours a week. Unfortunately, I don’t have enough time to practise. I have also tried pilates and I think its a very interesting form of exercise because I feel very comfortable after each class.
What do you do for fun? – What do you do in your spare time that you enjoy?
Reading novels.
Whitney’s opinion: I think you lead a very interesting life, full of interesting activities and you have tried a lot of different things.
I had regrets before because when I graduated from university, I wanted to go to Beijing for further study. But I didn’t get the results that I needed and so I came to Shanghai. I regretted these things for a long time but I think I have tried my best, so I’ve learnt to forgive myself.
