Today we focused on:

Today’s discussion focused on nutrition elements and native slangs or sentences for common conversations

Vocabulary

Carbohydrates / Carbs -> a nutritional element you get from rice or bread

Fiber -> a nutritional element you get from beans or nuts

Vitamin -> a nutritional element you get from fruits and vegetables

Sodium -> a nutritional element you get from salt

Protein -> a nutritional element you get from meat or egg

bloated -> swollen with water weight
i.e. Too much sodium makes you bloated.

What’s up = what is up = what is new with you
Answer: nothing much/things that you want to tell the other person

Do me a solid = do me a favor

Would you be a dear/doll/lamb to do something for me? = asking nicely for a favor

annoyed -> slightly angry
i.e. She looks a bit annoyed.

Don’t even get me started on ……. = a way to express your frustration or anger

Whatever floats your boat = telling someone to make the decision that is right for themselves or telling someone that they should do what is the most comfortable for themselves

Grapefruit -> a type of citrus fruit

dismiss -> allow to leave
i.e. Class is dismissed.
