It really had impacted on the profit income of cinemas in 2020 because of the pandemic. However, the movie publishing companies still tried to find some ways to release their movies. People who always go to cinemas also started to choose the online streaming service. But cinemas still had to pay for the rent, personnel labors cost payment and other utilities. On the other hand /In opposition, they had little profit income with the decrease of the number of customers. To a deeper extent, cinemas don’t have the ability to create the content to attract the audience; they which are more reliable more on the movies themselves. So if movie publishing companies have access to the better channels platforms to earn money, why would do they refuse it. I read some news online saying, that many cinema staff protested resisted one famous director because he changed his offline movie release to online days before the actual launch/air, because he changed his mind to release his movie online before the several days of the releasing, so that he could get a large amount of copyright fee. In that way, the cinema staff members thought it was unfair that they had helped him to launch a lot of campaigns for the movie beforehand without any income.
