that situation was terrible for black people because the new government imposed the apartheid.
Nelson Mandela was a men who always fought for what all people were same, and the color of the skin will not mark their destine. He was lawyer and activist. He was 23 years when he formed a political party from they fought for the rights of the black population. When the moment was implacable, he organized a non violent rebellion. He was persecuted, however he was worked many years in the clandestinely. He was recognized as the representative of the black population. But in 1962 he was arrested for conspiracy and armed struggle from the underground.
He was a prisoner and sentenced to life imprisonment. He was a prisioner during 27 years, some people didn’t forget him, and he was most remembered when some black students were killed. The situation in South Africa was critical and many people suggested that Mandela was released. After many negotiations and pressure of several countries, finally Mandela was released in 1990. He continued fighting against apartheid, until it was abolished. He was become the most important men in South Africa and he won Nobel Peace Prize . He was elected president in 1994
