My son will go to kindergarten in this September. The kindergarten is a public school, the only reason for us to choose because it is opposite our neighborhood. No matter how bad the weather will be, we just need to across the street.
The differences of public kindergartens and private ones in shanghai is not only the price, but also the teachers and course contents. One of our house nearby private kindergarten’s month fee reached 12K, they have one foreigner teacher for each class to teach kids English and let them to saturate in an English surrounding. And the private kindergarten always teaches kids logic class and many kinds of class like piano, painting and soccer.
I think the only one advantage of private kindergarten is saving time, to fit the study pressure, the children should to learn many things after their school. I will take my son to learn English and logic class and maybe one interest class, it will hold his after-class time.
