Homework
Use some of the vocabulary from this class ^ in some writing. Write something like a story and try to use the words.
Vocabulary
The bubble will [ burst / break ]
declare Bankruptcy
rubber – a flexible bouncy material, often used for shoes and car tires.
eg: Akron, OH is the Rubber capital of America.
Tariff – an economic tax on traded goods
eg: The tariffs on Canada from America, are probably also part of a bigger deal they made.
put a plan in motion – for a long term that takes time to develop or come to fruition
eg: Economic change can’t
contradict – to say something against what another person said.
Kid: Dad, I want I really wanna get that toy car.
Dad: No, you got a birthday gift last week.
Kid: Mom, can I please get that toy car?
Mom: Sure, you can get it.
Dad: Please don’t contradict me in front of our son.
contradiction – a statement with two opposing ideas
eg: Most of what Trump says are contradictions. He supports something, then goes against it next week.
dream of – usually for future dreams you want to accomplish
eg: I dream of being a scientist.
have a dream about – a sleeping dream
eg: I had the weirdest dream about swimming in the ocean on the moon.
Grammar
I often dreamed of about this examination in recent years recently.
I had nightmares about this recently.
I forgot to bring my book to class.
I always forget ( Usually or Always ) to bring my book to class.
What not to say:
Black People: OK
Yellow People: Not Really OK
Asians: OK
Nigger:
Negro: Not OK (Means “Black” in Spanish)
Nigga: ( some black people say this) OK (for black people)
NOT OK (For other people)
Redneck / White Trash / Honkey: (bad words for white people) Could be Rude, but doesn’t matter.
