There will be 3 scenarios, one is investment to do investment in China, and there are different lvl of investment, if you invest in western area, maybe the investment lvl should be 500K, according to different invested area.

The second scenario is if you are the high level management in China or you are the ofessor in college, you can appl yto be a chines ecitizen easily

The third scenario is if you married with Chinese citizen, you can apply to be Chinese citizen.

So, are those all paths to citizenship, or are some just for green cards?
