Hi XX,

Below is the specification of the 3 layers breathable fabric for your reference and this fabric is imported from Taiwan.

Content 100% POLYESTER
Backing: 100% Polyester
Face: Polyester 75D
Fabric Weight 180g/m2 (+/-10%)
W/P (Waterproof rate) 15000-20000mmH2O JIS L 1092B
MVP (Moisture Vapour Proof= Water vapour permeability) 3000g/m2/24hrs JIS L 1099 A1

Just so you know, we have been working for Cabela’s on these waders since March 2017, during this period of time, we have submitted multiple rounds of samples and arranged factory tours for Cabela’s personnel to visit both the factories in China and Cambodia. After one year of hard working, we were all very excited to hear the field test result is pretty good, but shortly after, we were informed those items were put on hold…

Therefore, when we asked the supplier to fill out the CBD (Cost Breakdown), they would like to know the current status of this wader program. Could you please kindly share some insights or direction with us? Are these waders still in the program? Or do you have other waders which would like our supplier to quote specifically?

Appreciate for your understanding and help.

Thank you!

Could you please let us know where we stand on this project, since we’ve already done a lot of the leg work? Are these waders still in the program? Or do you have other waders in mind which you would like our supplier to quote specifically?

We appreciate your understanding and help.

Hi XX,

The changed PO was received today with the revised shipdate but the qty remains the same. Due to limited time, the supplier has went ahead to purchase the raw materials for the added 1,804pcs. (Just FYI, the previous qty 3,662pcs was placed 2 months ago, the raw materials for those quantities are already finished, but now they have to dye and purchase these raw materials again.)

After a lots of back and forth, the supplier finally agreed to absorb the extra LCL charges and emphasized that they will only do it this time. It is very difficult since they already absorbed the small lot dyeing fee for the added qty.

Also, could you please check with the merchant team if they have plan to place more orders for Spring/Summer 2019 and what the projected quantities are? Instead of paying small lot dyeing fee and having difficulties to arrange production when receiving small qty POs every time, they would rather to dye the fabrics and manufacture these items all at the same time then wait to ship in couple flows.

Could you please kindly help to find out? Thank you.

It is very difficult since they already absorbed the small lot dyeing fee for the added qty. Which is well below their MOQ, and they’ve already done us a favor by accepting that addition to the order.
