Vocabulary

jock – a person who plays sports and is really into it

eg: Were you a jock in high school?      No, I wasn’t a jock in high school.

hassle – an inconvenient thing to do

eg: Is it a hassle for you to get to Pudong airport?

a pain in the ass – a problem or task you wish you didn’t have to do

eg: Hongqiao airport is much less of a pain in the ass to get to than Pudong airport.

lens – a piece of glass used to help see, or for cameras.

eg: One of the lenses on his glasses broke.

eg: Did you ever wear color contact lenses?   No, I never wore color contact lenses.

subtle – wei miao, very small change or hard to notice things

eg: Good artwork has many subtle details.

loophole – to find some special thing in the rules, that let you do something, that maybe you shouldn’t do, however, it’s completely legal and ok, someone just missed this problem

eg: There is a policy in my company rules that we can’t bring dogs to work, but I found a loophole to avoid it.

eg: You can’t bring dogs in supermarkets or restaurants in America. But some people use a loophole that lets them bring an emotional support animal with them, anywhere they go. And it is illegal to stop them from doing it.

Grammar

If Afghanistan they don’t think skateboarding is a sport, so girls can use this loophole. And skate if they want to.
