eg: It’s a bad idea to question the chief, especially in front of patients.

ask someone a question – to simply get some information from someone, not very good or bad

eg: Do you mind if I ask you something?

eg: Let me ask you something.

eg: Hey, I need to ask you a question.

credit – praise or special attention that is given to someone for doing something or for making something happen. People know you did it.

give credit

eg: You should give me credit, because I wrote that paper.

eg: My boss gave me credit for writing that paper. I am happy he can recognize my hard work.

get credit

eg: I got credit for writing this paper, even though Tony really wrote it.

take credit

eg: Sorry Tony, I took credit for your paper.

eg: I can’t take all the credit, Jessica helped me draw that beautiful tree.

eg: I won’t take credit for work that my colleague did.
