Listen to my way – Franck Sinatra

Speaking exercise

Mostly I was being educated at school but it also took me a lot of time to play with my classmates and make friends with them.
I used to think a lot about myself, life and what I want to be in the future. But it seems that it is really not that important to think that much. I didn’t do well in sports back at school but I have a music and singing and maybe the instrument. I learned pretty fast in all of those things.
I learned how to deal with ordinary relationships by playing with my friends mostly. I liked boys better, I think they are less sensitive than girls but I can also be a good listener to my female friends. I d like to think myself as kind of wild when I was a kid coz I would kick balls in a small forest. I have been a goal keeper. But I was afraid of the ball getting to my face.
I enjoyed English because it is not so exhausting while you are studying. it feels simple at school. I have been an English class representative.
I like to define myself as very diligent but not as a very very smart person.

I used to think a lot about myself, life and what I want to be in the future. But it seems that it is really not that important to think that much. I didn’t do well in sports back at school but I have a gift in music and singing and maybe playing the instrument. I learned pretty fast in all of those things/ I learned all of them pretty fast.
I learned how to deal with ordinary relationships / I learned how to behave in the society/ I learned how to deal with people  by playing with my friends mostly. I liked boys better, I think they are less sensitive than girls but I can also be a good listener to my female friends. I’d like to think of myself as kind of wild when I was a kid coz I would play soccer with a tennis ball in a small forest. I have been a goal keeper. But I was afraid of the ball getting to my face.
I enjoyed English because it is not so tiring while you are studying / it didn’t requite too much efforts to get a good grade. it felt simple at school. I have been an English class representative.
I like to define myself as very diligent but lazy.

Writing exercise

based on the video smart box by gmail (google)
1 describe
The smartbox appeared a few times in the video. Whether it was used by a housewife, or a businessman, or others, it seems to have brought convenience and a bit of surprise to the users.

The people in the video could keep their mails warm / keep their hands warm when they open the mailbox, take the mailbox with them on a picnic, and video chat / have a video call with the person who sent them the mail/the sender. It looks like the mailbox is all the way functional / is packed with functions/ can be used in various ways.
It surely is a surprise.

2 what is the joke
Well. Some technologies in the video seem quite impossible. And people would be crazy to believe those things. And if you make an order after watching the video, it is certainly successful in playing a joke on you.

3 is it beneficial
I think it’s quite beneficial though i personally don’t like the way google is promoting itself.

I see it is trying to leave a deep or deeper impression on people by playing little jokes on them, but it seems a bit unrelated to google’s technology / core competence / core business, and it shows what google is unable to do right now.

tense matching:
Consider when each action happens.
If you talk about the past, the story is all in the past. But if you suddenly talk about something different or feel an emotion when talking about it, it would be in the present.

I think  (right now-> present) we had  (past) the wrong idea. We shouldn’t have called (present perfect) the police since we are (present, we still are criminals)criminals.

I remember (present) when I was (past) little, I used to play (past)  jokes on other people. It really moves (present) me to think about what I did (past) back then.

When you have an enumeration, keep the tense consistent:
We will cut trees, burn forests, hunt bears and go to jail. (keep the present tense)

have a lot of time (not being busy / not being in a rush)
Since I finished the project I have a lot of time.  Do you want to go for coffee?

Take a lot of time (no choice, you need to work on it for a long time)
