I was graduated from university in 2005 and my major is accounting
After graduated from university I came back to Shanghai for my first job and now I am working in a government company and my main responsibility is to be as a risk manager to access evaluate our complex

projects. The reason I want to learn English because from now on our company strategy will be changed and our customers may be from other countries all over the world not just in China and I should assist our sales department to negotiate with our customers from other countries so I should improve my spoken English .I can write emails to our customer English I think it is ok for me but now I should face to face with our foreign customers so it is very important to express what I say and that my ideas and which aspects I focus on and other things. If I just writing email I have a long time but if I attend a meeting with a customer I have no enough time to think.
Mainly credit risk and liquid risk and market risk and other things.
For example just last month I attended a meeting with our customer and that company failed to repay our company so I attend the meeting to push them to pay in time but sometimes my accent / my English is poor so they cannot understand what I say so it is not professional.

role play 1 : self introduce in a meeting with a client

My company is a shipping company and our company is mainly to be as a financier to server for our parent group because our group is China’s largest ship builder and the products of our group is very good and with high quality so if you dont have enough money to buy the shipping from our group our company will help you to buy the ships and in the future you can buy our company installments each year so this is our company’s main business and now I think it is a good time to buy the ships because the price is very low and I think in the future when the ship price increase you can get a good profit either on your business I mean you can use other ships to operate your business or you just sell the ships to others. I think it is a good business. have you had interest?

We are the largest ship builder in China . You make quality products / products of good quality . We manufacture ships both in the low end and high end market / we have an extensive capability in ship manufacture and are well known for our high end products but also our low end ships.

The cost of a ship can be an issue for the buyer so we help them break it into installments. These installments can be monthly / annually or quarterly installments. / these installments can be paid monthly ….
If your cashflow doesn’t allow you to buy a ship directly/ up front we can break the payment down into several installments  / we provide payment solutions to our clients.

and now I think it is a good time / appropriate time to buy the ships/ a ship because the price is very low / the price went down / the price decreased a lot compared to the past few years / the price is at a low point and will most likely increase to increase / it will bounce back in the coming years.

If you buy a ship now you may even be able to get the interest rate back when the price increases. / you may even be able to make a profit if you decide to sell your ship in the future. It could even be  an investment.  and I think in the future when the ship price increases you can make a good profit if you decide to sell the ship  or rent it to other companies
