I woke up at about 5 am on Saturday and we are gathering together in SH in south train station then we took a bus to the temple.
it took us about 4h to go there. Then there is a buddhist guide us to walk around the temple and did the introduction for the temple and buddhism. In the afternoon we had meditation class for 30 mins.
The main point is do not focus on anything. not your breath and just relax and filter your body to reach void status.
Even do not focus on your breathing, focus on nothing.
It was very different from the traditional meditation.
traditional meditation requires to focus on breathing and it was very hard because the imagination ran wild.

And the other point of difficulty is it is 30mins and it is too long so it is easy to fall asleep.

That was the first day and the second day we copied the scriptures and we tried again the meditation
And the food is delicious . It is all vegan but it is delicious.

during the breakfast you cant talk to others you just focus on your breakfast and if you want more rice you use your fingers.
And one thing is their life habits they usually get up at about 5:30 and at 6 they sing the scriptures.
It is Chinese but it is very strange. it is not mandarin
There is a scripture called scripture of the heart but I don’t know the meaning I just copy it and I remember half of them because the scripture of the heart only has about 100 words. It is simple.

the first night we sleep at around 9 to 10 o’clock.

Usually the room is for 2 or 3 people so there is no individual rooms.
The monks live in another building.

I feel relaxed without the phone.
The monks have phones and they use Weibo and tik Tok.
When we first came there a monk played the game KPL.

in the group there are about 23 girls and 3 boys

do you deserve to go?
