VIP Class Notes (Tibo) (s)

Speaking exercise

everything is strange to me, new business and process and the most challenge I face is how to / I know what we should do, I can draft the strategy but I don’t know what can I do

My superior is a new staff of our company and 3 years is his experiences in e-commerce.
Both of us were from Phillips he directly reported to the VP and that VP also moved.

Our VP told me you should provide much more professional advice  / comments

I have 15 years experience but my bosses very good at relationship.

The industry is like a small sealed off world. / this industry is very isolated
Our marketing and sales have a bad relationship they never talk to each other so our VP told me you should have very high EQ and make them work together
both of the leaders work for our companies for like 30y and I don’t think they have the same target so the marketing they want to gain market shares but our sales team doesn’t agree with them
They thought they are the team making money so you should support us not leading us.
This is the reason our VP joined. He is the leader of the 2 teams.
So for me it is a big challenge, the first I joined the company the marketing direct sent an email to our VP he don’t like the position, they think I should onboard in marketing not salesteam
This is first challenge.

Second is I was a sales. If I take the position of the sales I have a lot of experiences or marketing sense. I think I can do better than the sales. but I am not a sales but a lot of parts of my work in marketing team is taking away their budget

The third challenge is I can very clear. It is vey different from other industries.
I can draft a strategy and tell the company what should I do. I can write the specifications

the biggest retailer of us is tuhu , it is not platform you do not run business there, they run the business. They just tell you how many budget they need and then you sell to them. They don’t discuss anything so I think high level cooperation is the key element for success and second is a clear product position.

There are 6 kinds of patterns on tuhu so consumers cannot understand and all the tires just have 4 features.
I think we should have a clear position for our customers.
focus on one or 2 features. Make it easy for consumers.

I will told them the details is the key element to our success.
We should find out what they need and then tell them
because of the supply issue you lost more than 30 percentage sales before.

——————-

everything is strange to me, new business and process and the most challenging / the biggest challenge I faced is about how to bring change, I can draft the strategy but I don’t know what else I can do. The issue is I lack power.
My responsibilities are unclear and people my hands are tied because  on the one hand I lack the power to make the sales and marketing team follow my lead and on there other hand we don’t have control over the promotion done by retailers in our name. / it is out of my control.

My superior is a new employee of our company and he has 3 years experience in e-commerce.
Both of us were from Phillips he directly reported to the VP and that VP also moved.

Our VP told me you should provide much more professional advice  / comments / he told me to leverage my experience for the company

I have 15 years experience but my bosses are very good at building relationships.

The industry is like a small sealed off world.
Our marketing and sales have a bad relationship they never talk to each other so our VP told me you should have very high EQ and make them work together
both of the leaders work for our companies for like 30y and I don’t think they have the same target so the marketing they want to gain /increase market shares  / they want to become n1 but our sales team doesn’t agree with them and they care more about sales volume

They think they are the team making money so you should support us not lead us. / they think they are the most important because they are the one bringing money to the company.

This is the reason our VP joined. He is the leader of the 2 teams. / he leads both of the teams
So for me it is a big challenge, the first day I joined the company the marketing director sent an email to our VP he didn’t  like the position / he didn’t agree with the creation of my job position, he thought I should be under the  marketing not the salesteam
This is my first challenge.

Second is I was a salesperson/salesman. If I take a position in sales I have a lot of experiences or marketing sense. I think I can do better than the salespeople. / if I am on the field
but I am not a salesman but a lot of parts of my work is taking away their budget / I don’t have a dedicated budget and I share it with the marketing team so we often disagree on how to use money

I can draft a strategy and tell the company what I should do. I can write the specifications but implementation is full of challenges

our biggest retailer  is tuhu , it is not a platform you do not run business there, they run the business. They just tell you their budget and how may tires they need and then you sell to them. focus on one or 2 features. Make it easy for consumers.

I think  details are the key element to our success.
We should find out what they need and then tell them
because of the supply issue you lost more than 30 percent (30%)
Because of supply issues you were unable to fulfill more than 30% of sales
