First impression is very important for daily social because of people are emotional animal. It is hard to explain exactly what first impression is. I think it is similar to chemistry that we learn the result but cannot figure out the reason just by eyes. The journey of learning a person originates from first impression. Furthermore, it is not easy to change the first impression in short period of time. For example, we are glade to talk to a strange person whom we have a nice first impression of. On the opposite, we are a bit afraid to communicate with a person who is tough at our first glance. It is said that bosses always decide whether to hire a candidate at first 3 minutes in interviews. I had a bad first impression of my former boss and I thought that he might be a tough guy at first meeting. But I found he is a good leader who is good at managing and guiding his subordinates in next several months. First impression is definitely important but I think we should not make decisions only depends on it.
