Today we focused on:

role play job interview for in house legal counsel

Speaking exercise

all the cases I have done the judgement has already been published on the internet so it ok to discuss them -> we are only allowed to discuss cases that are closed  / which have reached a judgement.

they want to interview me with another round -> they asked me to go through another round of interview

how to negotiate with the business partners when the disputes first arised -> arises 

we know we in a weak position at the beginning and we explained that to our client. -> we knew  / we were aware / from the get go we knew we had a weak position and we would probably lose the case so we focused on reducing damages.

the court would probably find us wrong but what we can do is lower the compensation amount.- > find us in the wrong / guilty
because they didn’t have evidence to prove their actual loss due to our misconduct

the second defense we made is they don’t have enough to prove the actual loss. -> our second line of defense was to show that the compensation amount they were asking for was too high / was not proportional to the actual loss.

I found myself still being attracted to litigations / I realized I still wanted to work more on litigations
