I want to exercise listening and speaking. I think listening is most important.

How does he cost of living?

I think sometimes he feels alone.

I’m lazy, I’m not working hard on my English.

Chinese word are difficult to remember.

If they got married abroad and then they lived in China, our government doesn’t support it.

I like to drive jet boat.

I took horse riding lessons.

I love cat and dog.

Recently, I gave outside cats and dogs food.

I feel in China in the countryside, they are not good. But Canada or other countryside is very nice.

Norwegian: A person from Norway which is in Scandinavia.

Ex. In university, I had a Norwegian housemate. His name was Thor.

I feel the Chinese countryside is not as beautiful as some other countries  in the countryside, they are not good. But Canada or other countryside is very nice.

Afford: Pay for, where do you get your money.

Forced (past tense of “force”) verb. To make something happen that you didn’t really want.  When you are forced to do something, you don’t have a choice. You HAVE to do it.

Ex. My mother forced me to take piano lessons. I hate learning piano. My mother gave me no choice.

Survival (to survive v. ): Noun. To be able to live without dying.

Ex: I survived in Kunming by using my basic Chinese. I survived on a desert island, by eating coconuts, otherwise I would starve to death. Learning Chinese is important for your survival.

Ex. How does your brother afford the cost of living in Spain, when he has no job? He saved money in Shanghai, now he lives off his savings.

Adventure (noun). Exciting experience or journey to something new.

Adventurous (adjective)

EX. I like to travel, I’m an adventurous person. I like to have new and exciting experiences. I love new adventures.

Boat (noun): Vessel for being on the water.

Ex. My brother bought a boat, so they can enjoy being on the river or the lake near their house.

Teenager (Noun): A young person over the age of 12, between ages 13 and 19.

Ex. I loved growing up in the countryside, until I became a teenager. As a teenager, I found the countryside boring and wanted to go to the big city to go shopping and see my friends.
