Why do I want to improve my English?

After I passed CET-6, I did not use English frequently. It was same situation in the first 2 years of my career. I wrote Emails and documents in Chinese, worked with Chinese colleagues and served Chinese clients, let alone spoke English. I forgot too many vocabularies and grammars, and I am afraid that my English level back to my high school level.
I remembered one time when I attended a training of Communication Skills, and the trainer was an American who asked us to do group discussion and act it out. I could know the meaning of the training well, but I could not express well. I felt so embarrassed and sad because my real English level was too poor. That was the 1st time I was eager to learn English.
But after few days when I returned to my daily job, few chances to use English, I forgot to study English again.
Then I left previous company and joined current one. Once time I had a meeting with client, and the marketing director of client was a French woman. I prepared the presentation for long time, but I just only read the PPT and said all sentences which I recited. One of my colleagues who presented all his deck in English fluently, and he used English to communicate with client naturally. I guessed that he was returned student. Once by change, I chatted with a girl who worked with that colleague, I asked she that if the guy was an overseas student since his English was very good. To my surprised, she told me that he graduated from a local university which is not famous one, but he put effort into English and recite words every day.
The one who is better than you and even work harder then you. Never be late to be a better man.

Why do I want to improve my English?

After I passed my CET-6, I rarely used English. It was the same situation in the first 2 years of my career. I wrote emails and documents in Chinese, worked with Chinese colleagues, and served Chinese clients, so I never had the chance to speak English. I forgot  a lot of vocabulary and grammar, and I am afraid that my English fell back to my high school level.

I remember once when I attended a training course in Communication Skills. The lecturer was American and he asked us to have a group discussion and then act it out. I was able to understand the lecture well, but I could not express myself well. I felt very embarrassed and sad, because my oral English level was really poor. That was the 1st time I was eager to learn English. But after a few days, I returned to my daily job and had few chances to use English, so I forgot about it.

Then I left my previous company and joined the current one. Once I had a meeting with client, and their marketing director was a French woman. I prepared the presentation for long time, but I just read the PPT and recited sentences I had memorized. One of my colleagues presented his entire deck in English fluently, and used English to communicate with  the client naturally. I guessed that he had recently returned from studying abroad. Once I chatted with a girl who worked with that colleague, and I asked her if he was an overseas student, since his English was very good. To my surprise, she told me that he graduated from a local university which is not even famous, but he put effort into English and practiced every day. People who are better than you sometimes work even harder. But it is never too late to be better.

Edited:

There were two problems with this client: One of them was about the contract. She asked us to prepare the March contract. One of my team members prepared it and emailed it to her in the middle of May. There was no feedback anymore, and yesterday she called the girl who sent her the contract, asking whether she had signed and stamped the contract. The girl said she hadn’t done it, because we had not received the confirmation of the statement yet. She then said that our company should sign and stamp the contact first. Our opinion is that you should not ask us to sign and stamp the final contract before you have first confirmed your legal statement.
