Vocabulary

Circumstance (n): 1- a situation or a fact or event that makes a situation the way it is.
E.g.: I think she handled it very well, under the circumstances.
E.g.: We can’t deal with the problem until we understand all the circumstances.

Justify (v): 1- to give or to be a good reason for. 2- 辩解
E.g.: I can’t really justify taking another day off work.
E.g.: How can we justify spending so much money and effort in the project if there are no results?

Excuse (n): 1- a false reason that you give to explain why you do something. a reason that you give to explain why you did something wrong.
E.g.: She was just looking for an excuse to call him.
E.g.: Any excuse for a holiday!
E.g.: He never misses a meeting – I’m sure he’ll have an excuse.
E.g.: There’s no excuse for that sort of behavior.

Furthermore (adv): 1- in addition; more importantly. 2- 进一步.
E.g.: The house is beautiful. Furthermore, it’s in a great location.

Manual labor (n): 1- work done by people, not by machines or by working animals.
E.g.: Manual labor like construction work or farming is usually very hard on people’s bodies.

Termination Letter (n): 1- used to terminate (=end) an employee’s job, or a contractual arrangement or obligation. Termination letters are almost always used in business situations and are therefore generally classified as business letters. The most well known type of termination letter is the “employment termination letter” that is sent by a company or organization to an employee to advise that person that their employment with that organization has come to an end.  The other widely-used type of termination letter is one that is sent by a company or individual to a company or organization to advise them of the termination of some sort of contractual arrangement.
