Vocabulary

Specific (adj): 1- relating to one thing and not others. 2- 具体.
E.g.: Do you know the specific time that the movie starts?
E.g.: Is there anything specific you want from the supermarket.
E.g.: That flower is specific to this part of the country (= the flower only grows in this part of the country.)
E.g.: I don’t have any specific ideas on what to buy him for his birthday.

Electricity (n): 1– 电力
E.g.: We need electricity to use our computer.
E.g.: The electricity was cut off, so the TV turned off.

Chinglish = Chinese English

Grammar

We had a lot of fish – We caught a lot of fish.

We saw a lot of waterfall.  – We saw a lot of waterfalls.

We go to a place where we can saw a lot of things. – We went to a place where we could see a lot of things.

Continuous Tenses

The Present continuous can be used to show an action which is happening at the time of speaking.
E.g.: I am having dinner at the moment.
E.g.: We are having a class.
E.g.: Leo is speaking English.
E.g.: Raph is teaching Leo.

The Past continuous can be used to show an action which was happening (had started, but had not ended), at a specific time in the past.
E.g.: I was having dinner when Sarah called me.
E.g.: Leo was having breakfast when his mother woke up.
E.g.: When his mother woke up Leo was having breakfast.
E.g.: I was walking along the beach when it started raining.
E.g.: Yesterday at 12am Leo was sleeping.

The Future continuous is used to show that an action will be happening at a specific time in the future.
E.g.: I will be having dinner at my parents’ house tomorrow.
E.g.: Tonight at 12am Leo will be sleeping.
E.g.: Tomorrow at 9am I will be studying.
E.g.: When you arrive tonight, I will be sleeping.

Here are some verbs in the continuous tense:

To have

E.g.: He is having a shower now. (Present continuous)
E.g.: He was having a shower when the phone rang. (Past continuous)
E.g.: He will be having a shower, so take the house keys when you go out. (Future continuous)

To run

E.g.: He is running right now. (Present continuous)
E.g.: He was running when I saw him yesterday. (Past continuous)
E.g.: He will be running tomorrow morning. (Future continuous)

To watch

E.g.: I am watching a really good film. (Present continuous)
E.g.: I was watching a really good film when there was a blackout. (Past continuous)
E.g.: I will be watching my favorite TV show when you arrive tomorrow. (Future continuous)

To do

E.g.: I am doing my homework at the moment. (Present continuous)
E.g.: I was doing my homework all night. (Past continuous)
E.g.: I will be doing my homework tonight. (Future continuous)

Original:

Today is my birthday, father mother and I were going to KunShan.  We went there by car. We arrived at 12am and then we had our lunch, it was delicious. We got the room card, then we went to our room, we were tired so we had a rest. after rest we were not tired. In the afternoon, father and I were going to the park by bike (it was by the hotel), We got some pickcher. My mother stayed at our room, she read books. In the evening we had dinner, we had rost beef and potatoes and I had my berthday party! All in all, we were very happy!

Today is my birthday, so my father, my mother and I went to Kunshan  by car / drove to Kunshan. We arrived at 12pm and then we had our lunch, which was delicious. We got the room card, then we went to our room. We were tired so we took a rest / rested for a while. After that we were not tired anymore, so in the afternoon my father and I went to the park by the hotel by bike / we biked to the park which was by the hotel and got some pictures. My mother stayed at our room and read books. In the evening we had dinner. We had roast beef and potatoes and I had my birthday party! All in all, we were very happy!
