Vocabulary

Sever (v): 1- to break or separate, especially by cutting. 2- to end a connection with someone or something:
E.g.: Her foot was severed from her leg in a car accident.
E.g.: Electricity cables have been severed by the storm.
E.g.: The US severed diplomatic relations with Cuba in 1961.
E.g.: The company has severed its relationship/ties with its previous partners.

Severance Package (n): 1- the pay and other advantages that an employee receives when their employment is ended by the management:
E.g.: The company is offering voluntary severance packages.

I’m very happy today because my company decided to fire me today. That means I will get a long time vacation with a lot of money. My company has many problems. The quality of the products is bad and after-sales service is also bad, so for me I have prepare for this situation, so I’m not scared, but happy. After leaving the company I want to take a vacation to Iceland for two weeks. I want to go to Iceland since I was in primary school because an article talked about Iceland and Northern Lights it impressed me very much. It’s a very beautiful city with very beautiful scenery. I want to go there and see what the article talked about by my eyes.
